Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP) is a dynamic, international non-governmental organization. We work to reduce violence and protect civilians in countries affected by violent conflict and its aftermath. NP implements programming through the deployment of civilian protection teams to the field.

NP is growing and should adapt its accounting and administrative processes to overcome new challenges. We are seeking a rigorous and proactive senior accountant to join our finance team as soon as possible. S/he supports actively the Director of finance and operations to manage day-to-day accounting, such as suppliers, bank, payroll, accruals, general entries, fixed asset, daily payments, cash transfers to our NP field offices abroad and receivables. S/he prepares bank and petty cash reconciliations, controls and processes all the bills and payments. S/he carries out payroll and HR administrative activities liaising with the external experts. S/he is actively involved in the monthly and yearly closing. S/he is solutions oriented. S/he has strong experiences in booking entries, forecasting monthly cash needs at headquarter level to avoid any gap in cash. S/he combines rigour, proactivity and autonomy. S/he is analytical and identifies quickly and accurately the salient issues when solving a problem. S/he has a track record of booking entries in sophisticated ERPs/accounting systems. S/he manages well stress, deadlines, and is a collaborative team player. The candidate has a qualification in accountancy (DSCG or equivalent). S/he is fluent in both French and English, especially in writing.
